Korea day 4
After a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon and hotdogs at the hotel's cafe, we left for Mt Sorak. Witnessed a pretty sight. The sunrise is sure beautiful isnt it?
The air was chilly and I could feel my nose freezing. It does not felt like my nose anymore. It was like the first day in Beijing, my face were so cold that it feels all strange to me.
The "tong yi fuo".
People pray to this buddha hoping that one day North and South Korea will be united again.
The temple that we went to pray and asked for blessings
It was so cold that I also headed inside to warm myself up.
Mt Sorak provides a scenic view as half of its mountains ice has not melted yet.
The ground is also slippery and wet, hence, we take caution in every step we took.
We took the cable car up the mountain-the journey to and fro took 5 mins
Once, we reached, we started trekking.
The snow was so soft and fine that we could not resist playing with it and sliding down from the top.
Unluckily, I did not wear my boots that day, the snow got into my shoes and make my toes feel cold and uncomfortable. Had a hard time shaking the snow out and it melted in the shoes, making both my shoes and socks wet. Did not get to take much pictures as we reached the peak as we could take it no more. Slowly made our way down.
Took the cable down once again.
We then took the coach to a tent to rent our skiing clothing. I rented a black sweater and pants plus a pair of skiing goggles for an additional charge. I also bought a cute muffler cap, skiing gloves and cotton candy pink earmuffs.
Then we went for lunch-BBQ squid and pork steamboat. It was quite troublesome to be in the bulky skiing wear while eating. It make us quite sweat a little after the meal.
Thereafter, we proceeded to our hotel-Holiday Inn Resorts. We will be spending a night at the luxurious resorts. It has a very winter resorts feel as there are brown cobblestone buildings which are capped with snow. The apartment felt so warm and comfortable which made me feel so at home.

Quickly, we went to our room to put our luggage and gathered at the lobby to go skiing.
We went to measure our feet size for the rental of the ski boots. We put on the tight ski boots with much difficulty. It is difficult to walk in it as it is damn heavy and it grips my small thighs. Then, we slowly made our way outside to the skiing lane. As we are only beginners, putting on the skis were an arduous task for us. We also tend to fall down easily. But with much perserverance, I succeeded! I managed to ski down the slopes and brake in time so I would not fall or crash into anyone.

After an hour or so of skiing, I felt extremely warm and started sweating. This is a sign that I did exercise. The skiing lane closes at 4.30pm sharp.
We made our way back to our room to change out of the bulky clothing and return them.
When we are back in our clothes, it was really cold as the wind blew really hard. We went to a restaurant to have our dinner.

Looks spicy!
After dinner, we went to a nearby convenient store to buy mineral water and ice cream!
We toured the resort and took pictures before going back to the hotel lobby to go on Facebook and back to the hotel for a good night's rest.
