Kuala Lumpur!
"KL DAY 1"
Finally going for a family holiday after a zillion years! Though it is only a short trip to KL for 3D2N, I really appreciate the getaway and its time to spend some MYR!

At the airport!
Mumsy and Daddy

With le sis
After a short journey of less than an hour by flight, we touched down KLIA2. It was a bit confusing at immigration as the staff were not being very efficient and directed us the wrong way to queue -.-
Yay, Mum got me this Travel Exclusive mini collection OPI while I was napping on board the flight. Thanks Mumsy!
We took taxi which costs us RM 75.10 to our hotel. Taking the taxi is way cheaper than the train though slightly longer ride due to jams. One way trip express train ticket on KL EKSPRES costs 35RM per pax
It took us around 45 mins from the airport to Furama Hotel and since we reached earlier than the check in time at 2pm, we decided to go for lunch first and walk around Berjaya Times Square. We had lunch at a coffeeshop opposite Berjaya Times Square which sells self service economical rice. And of course, whenever I come Malaysia, I had to drink their 凉水 (herbal tea) which are brewed by the coffee shops themselves.

At Berjaya Times Square Hotel, we should've stayed here as it is closer to the monorail station and shopping whereas we have to walk a short distance through a small and smelly alley for shortcut to Furama.

Perks of travelling during Christmas season, everywhere you will find Christmassy decors and Christmas trees

Daddy and his little girls
After walking for an hour, Dad started to get tired and complained that his feet hurt, we decided to go back to the hotel since our rooms should be ready after 2pm.
Our room! Was bigger than I imagined. We asked for connecting rooms with our parents and hence we had an additional living room.
Mum and Dad room is smaller as theirs is a Queen size bed while ours has two single beds

Mirror selfie while birdie sis is in the toilet

As soon as she came out, go rest comfortably on the bed playing her game.
After much rest, we finally went out of the hotel to meet my cousin, yang, who is currently studying in KL. We took the taxi there as it is still raining a bit and since we are still not familiar with their rail network.
We met up with Yang and we walked around KLCC area. This candid shot was taken when we wanted to get ready for a jumpshot.

Kinda success but a bit blurry

Solo shot

Caught a shot of the Petronas Twin Towers after we came out of KLCC. We wanted to go to the aquarium but unlucky that they close at 7pm. Hence we decided to go to Suria KLCC for dinner

Had this Salmon Teppanyaki for dinner at their food court. The food is not bad but made me thirsty after eating as it's loaded with MSG
Colorful water fountain outside SURIA KLCC at night. We decided to go to another mall since SURIA KLCC sells mostly branded stuff.

Loots that I got from H&M and Cotton On! All on sale!

Spent more on pigg than on myself, bought a waterproof bag and a cap from H&M for him. At first I wanted to buy the cap as an add on Christmas Present plus souvenir, but I can't help but get the bag too afterwards as it looks cool and practical. Got the dolphin thingy which is apparently a mini knife as a free gift
Can't resist getting the hat from Cotton On, felt like I have a hat obsession coming along
After much shopping till the shops close, we decided to return back to our hotel via the train. Hence we went to purchase tokens which cost 2.80RM for the journey back to our hotel station: imbi

Quite cool they embed the token with chip as it works the same way like EZ link card, tap n go

The station is quite empty at night and good time to selfie again!

Father and daughter hats. Dad seem to like the hat that I bought in Thailand a lot and I let him wear it since I bought a new one.

After taking the LRT from KLCC to Masjid Jamek, we had to change to another line
Their LRT is underground while this line is like HongKong's train. It's quite scary without any safety barriers

Glimpse on the inside with mad hatter sis

We ended up at Hang Tuah station to change to monorail before reach in our stop

Sorry i don't know what I'm doing
Selfie again at the almost empty train station

The real couple with the couple hats
Here comes the monorail! Hahas just by paying 2.80RM, I got to experience three types of rail transport.
The interior of the cabin, quite cool, as I never seen back to back seats before on trains
Wefie!

And finally! We reach IMBI station after much changing of stations! Time to head back the hotel to rest!!

On the way back to our hotel, we bought some stuff to eat from 7-11. A kind guy who bought lots of stuff gave us his stamps and together with our own purchases we managed to exchange the stamps for two justice league bears. So much thanks to the kind guy as 24 stamps entitle us to 1 bear. And also thanks to the nice 7-11 guy too who was generous in giving the stamps
''KL DAY 2''
Woke up at almost 12noon as everyone is all too tired to wake up for breakfast. Yang had to leave at 8am since he had school and Mum accompanied him for breakfast and send him to the station. He will join us after school for dinner together with another cousin of mine.

We went back the place we went yesterday for lunch and I ordered the 滑蛋河粉 that mum raved about how nice it was when she had it yesterday
After lunch, we booked a taxi tour where the driver brought us to places to buy local products and also drove us to the shopping district

We went to a store selling chocolates and I could not resist eyeing them as they look very attractive. Too bad I couldn't buy them back as gifts since they will melt.

Then Dad say 'Since come here already, just buy to try la'. Sis and I chose one each while mum chose another and we bought to try.

After buying some local products, the driver send us back to the hotel so we can put down our stuff before going to Sungei Wang area to do more shopping

The driver then drove us to the shopping area, which looks kinda like Singapore's Orchard Road. We went to the Pavilion to take photos with the Christmas decorations

Daddy and his princesses

My favorite couple
We went inside to take more photos before coming back out as the pavilion sells all branded stuff
Last pic with Mumsy before moving off. While walking to Sungei Wang, I bought Turkish ice cream where I paid 6RM to play catching the ice cream with the ice cream man.
Saw this pretty pastel flowers headpiece and had to get it for Claudia

Went to Sungei Wang and had a great time shopping as the items are way cheaper than the high end malls. Though I still had a hard time deciding whether to get or not. I highly recommend these two shops, nose and vincci which offers a whole range of trendy bags, shoes and accessories at an affordable price

After much shopping, we decided to go back to hotel for a short rest before meeting the cousins for dinner. We wounded up at Krispy Kreme where I finally tried their overrated donuts for the first time

We also ordered this 1-for-1 caramel ice blended drink. I still prefer Starbucks caramel frappucino. To me, Krispy Kreme is just meh after trying it, not sure whether if its because the quality is different as Singapore or not since I have never tried it before.

For dinner, we dined at Absolute Thai, we came to this mall called ioi city which is quite far away from our hotel. Luckily, our cousin drove us here.
Mumsy, Daddy and cousin Heng
The kids
We had a sumptuous feast and it was scrumptious though a lot of the food is quite spicy since its Thai

My old Thai coconut, meat so thick that its so hard to get its flesh

With le ducky sis who helped me braid my hair
It was quite late by the time we finished dinner and hence we do not have a lot of time to shop as a lot of stores are closing.
Hence, we ended the night at the level 2 water fountain symphony before cousin send us back to the hotel.
''Last Day in KL''

Morning, it's time to go home after a good 3D2N in KL. Though my short getaway has ended, I still had fun and this trip had brought my family closer even though Dad complained a bit here and there about the pricing. I do not know when will it be the next time that we will travel together as a family, hence I will treasure all these memories.

After waiting for some time, where the counters did not open on time, we finally checked in and went to have breakfast. I was starving yet the place we ate at has lack of manpower and there is only one person serving and cooking at the same time. I devoured my meal by the time it's served and luckily, it tasted not bad
So angry that the leave-on conditioner that I brought over got confiscated by their customs. It makes no sense when I passed the customs in Singapore but failed the customs here. End up my mum keep nagging at me when it's my stuff that got confiscated -.-
Touched down!
Finally home sweet home after a long bus ride from Tampines to Woodlands as we decided to go for lunch before coming back. Even though Singapore has a higher cost of living, there are still a lot of stuff that I am thankful for, for we have a world class airport and a passport that is internationally recognised. Even though stuff in Malaysia is cheap due to the current SGD to MYR exchange rate, I still feel Singapore is the best
As soon as we touched down and left the plane, I was so happy to see Singapore's airport, we have water coolers outside every toilet and at waiting areas, and I could not help comparing the difference between our neighbouring countries and Singapore. We had to survive without water after emptying our bottles to pass the security checks. Since we took budget airline, drinks are not provided and water alone costs SGD$4. Daylight robbery -.-
But since Singapore airports had water coolers almost everywhere, we were sort of expecting to see it in Malaysia. But sadly no, to much disappointment. Well, I'm just happy to be back as I could not really stand the service standards of the staff in the airport and I truly had a bad experience, having my stuff being thrown away and some other minor details like the inefficiency and bad service of staff.
I strongly believe Airports should always portray a good image as they are the first impression travellers have of your country. I am so proud of Singapore's Changi Airport.
