I'm officially missing Korea
It's been a few months since I came back from Korea and I have been missing the fun times I had there! Chatted with Vicky Jie on Facebook yesterday night and we both missed each other a lot. She's a friend that I made when I was on the tour. A good friend indeed. She is from Malaysia and she was only on the tour with her family. All her family members are friendly, and my Godma and I were on the best terms with them compared to the other tour members.
I really missed the time in Korea where every meal we had have kimchi (even though I don't eat them, hahas), black beans, beansprouts, ikan bilis and many other side dishes. I missed the steamed rice in Korea which is served in a metal bowl and we ate with metal chopsticks and spoons.
I missed the time where I shopped till I dropped at Myundong. And I led Godma the wrong way and ended up getting lost and had to ask strangers which we have trouble communicating with in Korean to kindly lend us their phones to call our tour guide. It was really an embarrassing situation as all our tour members had reached the meeting place while the smart aleck me thought that I knew how to go back. Vicky Jie had laughed and teased me for that.Hahas.
I also missed the times that we had at lotte world, the damn frightening pirate ship right where I was scared out of my wits and I grabbed vicky jie brother-Vincent's hand so tightly. Lucky he didn't mind (:
Because I was so scared, I ended up forgoing the 360•c roller coaster ride and many other rides both indoors and outdoors. What a scaredy cat I am.
Both Vincent and vicky jie took great care of me on the trip like I was their little sister and I enjoyed that feeling. I also missed the times when we first reached Korea-Jeju island and I saw real snow for the first time of my life! How happy I was!
I also missed the time that me and Godma battled the cold winds and I can't wait to get back to the coach after taking a few pics. I even rather forgo taking the pictures and just go back into the coach to warm myself. Even though I didnt quite get used to eating the food there at the first time we reached there, I still had a good time eating the barbecued black boar meat, bibimbap, barbecued duck feast and the seafood steamboat. I even tried a little soju which tasted a little unusual to me.
I enjoyed skiing the most and my memories triggered when I went iceskating yesterday. Indeed, iceskating was much harder than skiing as you have nothing to hold on too, you have to keep your momentum right or else you will fall easily. But skiing was damn fun too, even though I had some trouble and difficulty at the first hour. Lucky, our cute photographer patiently taught me and helped me took several cool photos of me skiing like a pro. Hahas, Vicky Jie still can't ski!
Hopefully, I can go Europe next year with Godma (:
