Korea day 5

Time passes so fast when you are enjoying yourself. It is the fifth day in Korea. As usual, we packed up and left the resort in the morning to eat breakfast at the place we had our dinner the day before. I had quite a phobia that they will serve the fake "codfish" soup again as it does not taste nice at all. Luckily, the menu was beef stew soup but we do not eat beef so the soup was substituted with pork tonkatsu which is made with seafood. It does not taste appetising at all and I did not eat much as I am not used to eating rice for breakfast. I also hate having to eat mayonnaise with rice. It just tastes so...wierd...

After breakfast, we left for Everland. It opens at 9.30am but we reached there at about 10plus. We took a shuttle bus into the amusement park and took both group and solo photos at the entrance. Following that, we left to tour the park. At it was snowing that morning, many rides were closed so we sort of wasted our time there and took pictures instead.

The park's people are so friendly and funny!

Hahas, with Kwangsoo Giraffe

Finally, we went to a zone called European Town where we played snowbuster. We queued for sometime before pulling up our tyres and sleighing down. It was quite an exciting experience for me as Singapore do not snow, hence we do not get to sleigh.

Then, we went to the petting zoo where we saw animals like chicks, cocks, sheeps, rabbits and guinea pigs.

Then we went for lunch at a burger cafe where I had popcorn chicken and orange juice. I was not too hungry then and so I think I ordered a kids meal where the cup of orange juice was small. Korean fastfood do not offer chilli sauce but only serves ketchup. But I like my fries with chilli sauce...sobz...I doubt I can survive in Korea without my chilli sauce for fries.

The cable car ride is opened after we finished our lunch. It was almost 2pm and we need to head back to the entrance to meet our tourguide. Hence, we took the cable car uphill and slowly went up.

Caught this sight, he must be feeling so at home.

We also went window shopping at the park's shops.

Then we bought a safari bus for Guanming. After that, we left the park and back to the bus to go for a kimchi making lesson. Firstly, the instructor gave a short introductory of the ingredients used for making kimchi. Then, she taught us step by step how to put the seasonings onto the cabbage leaves before tying it up with one of its leaves. The instructor guided us as we made the kimchi. Actually, it is quite easy as the seasonings is already prepared for us and we only need to rub the seasonings on the cabbage leaves, layer by layer and wrapping it all ith one leaf. It is a very meeaningful activity even though we do not get to bring home and eat the kimchi that we made. The kimchi will go to the elderly homes, so we are sure to make it with extra love and care.

After that, we went upstairs to try on the Korean Hanbok for photoshoots.

Shall upload only this photo which I think is the nicest (:

Then, we went to Dongdaemun- Doota to shop for clothes. The prices are quite reasonable for the clothes while the other stuffs like souvenirs-metal chopsticks and bowls which we bought at a higher price. I bought a long sleeve pink shirt which comes with a free camisole. I also bought a donut earpiece cord holder and Rilakkuma Iphone button stickers.

Then we went to another mall for dinner-Korean Steamboat. We had pork again wth loads of white cabbage before going to the Hilton Hotel Seoul for a good night's rest.
