The train ride from Interlaken to Lucerne felt one of the longest out of our whole journey but the views of the turquoise blue waters of Lake Brienz were definitely rewarding.  Fun fact: One of the iconic scene from ‘Crash Landing on You’ was filmed at Lake Brienz. During warmer months, they actually have a boat cruise on the lake.  After a close to 2 hour ride, we finally reached Lucerne and checked in to our cozy room at Hotel Ameron Flora Luzern  It was a bit rainy in Lucerne and we had dinner at Wirthaus Taube, where we had previously made a reservation Barley soup  Pork cheek with couscous  Veal Cordon Bleu, one of the specialties of Lucerne Cheers! Dining in restaurants was not cheap in Switzerland but wine is really affordable as compared to Singapore The food was not to our liking, but I loved their mayonnaise and even bought one home from the supermarket  After dinner we took a walk and stroll across the Chapel Bridge to get our next day breakfast ...

Today we are going to Jungfraujoch! We could see little specks of snow when we arrived at Grindelwald Terminal. From there, we have to take a gondola which will take us up to Eigergletscher where we will have to take a train up to Jungfraujoch!  View of the little snowy villages from the gondola Jungfraujoch Railway Station, is the highest train station in Europe Got to see real snow and mini snowflakes as soon as we stepped out to the Sphinx Observatory. It was -11.5 degrees! One with the giant Christmas tree  Passing through the Alpine Sensation, a moving walkway with lots of things to see on our way to the Ice Palace Visited the Ice Palace, I preferred this one at Jungfraujoch as it is bigger and felt more well maintained as compared to the one at Glacier Paradise with floors made of ice Top of Europe checked!  Love this picture taken by a friendly Taiwanese tourist who takes good pictures and even told us how to pose!
