Christmas Wonderland @ Gardens By the Bay
Pigg and I made our way to Gardens by the Bay after our Christmas Day failed attempt. Being Christmas Day, the traffic at GBTB was so heavy that the access was closed. We had no choice but to U-turn and decide to try again by going earlier. Yes, I am a sucker for the Christmas lights, especially this year's lights at GBTB which has been tempting me to visit many weeks back.
Traffic on the day after Christmas was better since we came earlier but we still had to queue to go up but a sigh of relief is heaved by the both of us once we stepped foot into GBTB. I don't wanna U-turn and go home disappointed like on Christmas Day
Since it was still early, the lights have yet to light up and its still bright as day, we decided to walk around since there are many activities around GBTB. We also checked out the games carnival and strictly limit ourselves to only $20 as we knew such games require lots of luck and skill at the same time. We managed to get a small dragon soft toy at a darts game. Prices at GBTB is obviously marked up since it's Christmas. We had to change tokens in order to play the games and one token costs $2 and one game costs 2 tokens which is $4 per game -.-
Be prepared to bring a lot of money as you are gonna spend a lot if you got addicted to the games.

We got hungry from walking around and we decided to get the mini pancakes from a Dutch pancake store that pigg set his eyes on.

Even though the mini pancakes is a little pricey at $7 for 10 pieces and an additional $1 for the maple syrup topping. But sure it was good, crispy on the outside and airy in the inside
Yums with his big mouth
Inside the spiral luminaire, a sight to behold with the lovely voice of a female soloist singing christmas carols in the background
Still feeling hungry, pigg went to buy lasagne which I could not eat cos there's beef inside
I decided to go for the cheese gratin which I had to wait for 10 minutes for a new batch, after a few bites, I had to throw the whole thing away as it was too creamy...

The sky starts to gets darker at 7pm and we got ready to go inside then luminaire again to witness the garden rhapsody and blizzard snowfall while enjoying Christmas carols by the choir from NTU.

Garden Rhapsody as the super trees light up to the music

And it's Snow blizzard time!
Finally a successful try after many attempts by using the back camera instead as it's clearer the front camera. Even though this year's christmas day is a bit dampening as we failed to make it into GBTB, we managed to made up for it the next day. The pretty lights of the luminarie never fail to awe the both of us and our festive mode is still on since its still the christmas weekend and GBTB is filled with the festive spirit.
