My Twenty-First

Finally had the time to sit down and blog about my 21st birthday party held on my actual birthday on 26 November 2016. There has been a lot of ups and downs in the preparation of my birthday, from the venue which I has expected to be at Aloha Changi chalet suddenly became D'Resort at Downtown East. It was a long story but all thanks to the help of my family and friends, I managed to make do with the venue and turned my 21st birthday into a success!

So this is gonna be a longass post dedicated to the people who helped made my birthday a memorable one <3

From sponsoring my birthday venue and food, cooking and preparation for my birthday, barbequeuing under the rain, baking the amazing treats...and also most importantly, for showering me with love for the past 21 years and even now. Other than me who was really busy for the day, my parents and sister were busy shuffling up and down the room and bbq pit just to ensure that there would be food on the table. The weather was not good to us that day, and despite the rain, they still continued to BBQ,

My boyfriend

Feeling bad that he may not be able to contribute as much for my birthday due to his sailing schedules, he decide to sponsor my financially and thanks to that, I spent that money on the birthday cake, decor, dress and also did my hair for the day. Thanks pigg <3

Thank you for giving me all the love and also tolerating my anxiety for the preparations of my birthday, this 3 years plus will not be as good without you.

And also pigg's parents, Auntie Stella and Uncle Johnson!

They have always made me feel part of the family to me ever since I got together with pigg, I felt comfortable with them and also thankful that I am included in every celebration and gathering.

Thank you for helping me so much for my birthday too, Auntie Stella for also helping me and my family with the planning and preparations of my birthday, and also Uncle for driving us around, from going to D'resort for site recce and also driving us around during the 2 days we spent there.

From my twenty-first birthday party, I felt really blessed to have friends whom I felt that I can really count on for the rest of my life.

Firstly, I would like to thank Waiching, my favorite girl, who stayed over and helped me lots with the preparation of my party, from lending me her beautiful glassware, making of banner and being my personal photographer for the day. We had came a long way, knowing each other back in Secondary school from our CCA, Art Club and now, I'm really glad that we are best buds where we could share our joys and sorrows together with each other.

Picture before the party started! I'm really happy with all the decorations, from the table setting to the backdrop and cake, it is all I ever wanted and visualized from my dream birthday. Thank you for making it come true!

Was really apologetic as the poor girl got a allergy after unknowingly eaten two bites of the lavender earl grey cake... glad that she is fine now!

Secondly, Claudia! My first friend whom I met before officially starting university at a VAP workshop. Even though its only 2 years that we have known each other, I'm really glad to have met her as we clicked really well, a happy pill that made my university life more bearable (;

Thank you for coming down earlier to help do my make-up! Your amazing make-up skills got me lots of compliments for the day and even my little cousin was shy to look me in the eye > <

The girls whom have stuck thick and thin throughout with me from secondary school! Even though some of us subsequently got into different classes in upper sec, I'm still glad that we remained close in Poly and till now. Although we do not meet up often due to our own busy schedules, its always a good time and we never run out of topics to catch up about whenever we meet up. To more good times together as we look forward to be each other's bridesmaids in future!

Not sure how we came up with this name in the first place but they are my first bunch of friends whom I met upon entering University. We work hard and play hard together and I'm really glad that all of us are able to strive together for our projects!

Really glad that he was able to make it down even though my cake cutting session was over.

Really had fun working on projects together especially for our Destination Management video. Looking forward to more collaborations together and hopefully there will be video projects where we can tap on your professional filming and editing expertise!
