D'Good Cafe

What's even better than to catch up with a 7 year long friend over good food, good coffee and good ambience? For that, we went all the way to D'Good Cafe at Holland Village. I have always wanted to try the food there and I finally had the time to do so and the right company to go with (:

We sat at the swing seats where we can get a view of the outside. It is really lucky that we got those seats. Actually, we came a little earlier than the people who came behind us, if not we would not have gotten the swing seats which are attractive for girls and couples.

Just chillin' and rockin' on the swing while waiting for our food to arrive

Damn good lighting too, of course, must selfie

We waited quite a while before the food arrive, I wanted to order the all day English Breakfast but they ran out of baked beans, so they do not serve it. Also, the eggs benedict were out of stock so I ordered the Linguine Alle Vongole (Clam Pasta) instead.

My Linguine Alle Vongole (Clam Pasta)

Quite surprising to see pacific clams being used in this dish, instead of just the normal clams. However, it adds points to the pasta as I enjoy the pacific clams (I love clams!)
The pacific clams are chewy, the portion is generous too, each of the clams really have meat in them instead of empty shells and they are really fresh and sweet. Really enjoyed this dish, love it!

Zixin's Oyster and Shimeji Aglio Olio

Looks a tad watery compared to normal Aglio Olio which are supposed to be dry, but I guess Zixin enjoyed it as she ate relatively fast and she wiped out her plate clean

Enjoying our food! Zixin complimented their mocha frappe, and I also gave my orange juice a thumbs up as it is freshly squeezed (can really taste the pulp and seeds)

Bacon Skillet Pancake

Took more than the promised half an hour, but was really worth it!
Crepe like pancake topped with thinly sliced parmesan cheese, greens and bacon bits and baked in a iron cast, really hot off the pan! At first I thought that I would not have any room for it after looking at the portion, but once I had the first bite, I am sure that I can finish half of it!

I had a really good meal, somemore there is no service charge! I would totally bring pigg here someday to try their desserts and hopefully we can sit on the swing seating area (:

However, I hope they can improve on their table clearing service, we had to clear our own plates and after others before and after our meals to make room for our dishes.
If so, I would really give 5 out of 5 stars for this cafe!
