Anti:dote @ Fairmont Hotel
Finally it's the long awaited Saturday where Pigg and I will be going for high tea at Fairmont Hotel Anti:dote Lounge to celebrate our third year together!🏻
I have been looking forward to this day since the beginning of April as reservations are not easy to make for this well sought after high tea, especially for a Saturday.
Anti:dote features two high tea menus with different appetisers- Anti:dote tea and oriental tea. We called for Anti:dote tea as the oriental tea appetisers was dim sum and I preferred Western when it comes to high tea. The appetizer for the Anti:dote tea also looks more worth the price. And of course, Anti:dote tea scrambled eggs is more popular as recommended by the staff.
Our reservation was for the 12-2pm seating as it was as fully booked from 3-5pm, hence, we skipped breakfast to enjoy brunch!
Me giving a "Don't disturb me while I enjoy my tea" look.
Anti:dote offers a selection of TWG teas to pair and complete the afternoon tea experience.
As recommended by the staff for a sweet blend, I ordered the Vanilla Bourbon red tea which exudes a sweet scent and feel really smooth.

Here comes our appetizer- which looks like a dinosaur egg.
Plated nicely in a black plastic egg shell, contains the eggy goodness of the land and sea- sea urchin, salmon roe and caviar atop their organic scrambled eggs.

The plating is very cute and creative and its taste is just so good!
Pigg looked like he gained enlightenment after tasting one bite of the eggy goodness.
Right after our appetizer, the beautiful jewelry box filled with lots of sweets came!
How I wish my jewelry box will look like this, so colourful and pretty!

The top of the jewelry box are the pretty sweets. Love the strawberry cream cone the most!

First drawer are the savory pastries which tasted better than their pretty desserts

Second drawer are the warm chia seed and cheese square scones

Last but not least, the last drawer are sugar cookies and Devonshire clotted cream, raspberry jam and lemon curd to go along with the scones.
Have to take a selfie with the pretty desserts before tucking into them.
Then wefie
Thanks Pigg for bringing me to enjoy this high tea
Overall the high tea experience was good, with a quiet and peaceful ambience. It was a great afternoon spent. The presentation for the food is really nice which makes up for the desserts which did not taste as wonderful as they look.
