Received another birthday surprise today but by the girls this time round. A few says ago when Kim asked me out, I asked if its only the two of us and she said yes. Yunqi was also late in wishing me happy birthday and said that she was busy with her school projects and hence cannot join us today.  However I had a keen feeling but cannot be sure and I actually I kinda expected Yunqi to turn up but I did not expect Siying to come too. So happy that it's full strength today! Since class ended early today, I had to wait for Kim to knock off and I spent my time walking around the shops aimlessly. I wanted to try Yoogane and Kim told me that she have a friend who works there so I need not queue.  And guess what, when I came up to Yoogane to meet her when she reached, the first thing I saw is a big birthday balloon and then the girls. Received a really sweet surprise by my Uni clique- Mini Mine today which started my morning great even though there is lecture on my birthday. Even though I sort of predicted why Claudia asked me to meet in school earlier at one of the discussion rooms, I was still surprised as I did not expect to see Jenson and Hazel there too. It was really a surprise as I entered the room with them singing Happy Birthday and presented me with a slice of my favorite black forest cake  My favorite Blackforest cake! So thoughtful that Claudia actually remembered me favorite flavor, though I do not remember telling her before. Thank you Clauds!  Also, Thank you guys for the present! It was a black backpack and again, thank you Claudia for being so thoughtful and remembered that my bag zip spoiled. I will surely use this bag well!  Wefie since there are no one there to help us with the photo taking.  I couldn't stop smiling after I received...

Met up with Waiching today after my dental appointment for high tea! We got off the wrong stop and had to walk a distance before we reached Fullerton Hotel. Also, we were in a dilemma on which hotel to dine at, Fullerton Bay Hotel or Fullerton Hotel.  Fullerton Hotel Courtyard's high tea offerings and style is similar to Fullerton's Hotel Landing Point. But in the end, we chose Fullerton Bay Hotel for it's scenic view and ambience. Our colorful three-tiered afternoon tea stand. It may not look like a lot, but we were not able to finish everything too  The offerings are also refillable, I liked their lobster cone, salmon brioche and jam & cheese biscuit a lot and hence, we refilled their savoury pastries more than the sweets The first blend that I chose was their Fullerton Express, a wildflowers tea recommended by the waitress since I preferred floral teas. Finally ITI presentation that had been dragged for a week is over! I did not have a good sleep the day before as my mind kept going over my script deterring me from resting...  Of course, we had to take a mandatory group shot to mark the end of the presentation.   Felt like a midget among all these tall people. HAHA Did not know that level three in SIT @ RP had such a photo-worthy environment. The sun was quite bright in the afternoon and we had to squint our eyes while we had our photos taken.  The result was quite good as we managed to do a jump shot, though I could not quite control my facial expressions and messy hair  Tuk Tuk Cha is finally opened at Sun Plaza after a long wait. North side truly needs more cafes...  Finally get to try Hai Di Lao at Somerset 313! The last time I had it was when I was Sec 3 in Beijing for a immersion program and I missed the taste and impeccable service so much! Cousin wanted to give me a birthday treat and he suggested HDL, so here we are!  Since I was unable to make a reservation as the restaurant was fully booked, I can only go down earlier to Somerset 313 and take a queue number.     I got the queue number at 4plus and had to wait till 6 plus before we had a table. Hence, I decided to go wait at Starbucks while I use my laptop. At around 6 when my cousin and sister are reaching, I decided to go back upstairs to wait and see if we had a table.  I was asked to wait for a while more while they seated me at a waiting table and served me fruits and some snacks. There are also drinks available and even origami to kill time. HDL really did a good job in entertaining their customers.  We would receive a $6 dish for free...

Its been a long time since I met up with the girls, the last meet up was near the end of August to celebrate Yun Qi's birthday and this time round is to celebrate Kimberlin's birthday. I decided that we should go to Som Tam at Orchard Central to reminisce on our Bangkok trip with some Thai food. Magazine style inspired menu  Wings Phet Phet- Deep fried wings with spicy Tom Yum seasoning. Enjoyed the wings a lot while it was hot and crispy. I realized that whenever we dine, we would always order wings. I would of course prefer wings over drumlets.   Ordered the Pad Thai that Kim have been craving for, so happy that I made the decision to come here. Although the pad thai was quite oily, it was still appetizing.
