Creamier

Image
Recess week is soon over in the blink of an eye, since I did not have the chance to go out much during the week, I had to make the most of my Sunday by cafe hopping to get my ice cream fix before school reopens.  Finally decided to go to Creamier to satisfy my ice cream cravings after wasting a lot of time researching and deciding on where to go.  I had heard of Creamier for quite some time but did not have the chance to visit the cafe. Finally, I had the chance to try it, in this nice little ice cream parlour among the heart of Toa Payoh neighbourhood. It was quite packed when we first arrived, but the crowd soon cleared as most of them finished their desserts around the same time. I realised that the people finished their ice creams and waffles pretty fast, so I thought it must be really good. Creamier did really well in their table management as each table is given a table tracker which will silently vibrate to indicate the order is done, and the next momen...

COYORO- Cool.Yogurt.Roll.

Who says Sunplaza is still one of the worst suburban shopping malls in Singapore? With so many food offerings in the newly revamped and improved Sunplaza, it definitely make me want to visit the mall more often now.  At the basement, one can find several small food joints which include quick bites and even small food outlets with seating areas. One of the dessert store that caught my eye is COyOrO, a small shop offering Thailand inspired fried ice cream rolls. It really brings back memories of the ice creams I had in Bangkok.  Ice Manias Fried Ice Cream Rolls- Siam Square The fried ice cream rolls trend is actually started back in Thailand where some genius ice cream maker decided to have ice cream in a cooler way by having it in rolls instead. I really applaud that genius idea, not only it bring about a new trend, it also make the ice cream look pretty and appetizing with bits of flavors in it. One can also get to customize their toppings and get to enjoy a '...

JQ Chef Cafe

Image
We happened to be around Toa Payoh for a board games warehouse sale at Storhub, hence we decided to check out JQ Chef Cafe to try out their Salted Caramel Waffles, one of their hot sellers. Since the cafe owner is a chef, I was quite surprised at the reasonable pricing. However, I was quite glad that is affordable so I get to try out.  Salted Caramel Waffles: Topped with 2 scoops of salted caramel ice cream and fruit salsa I would say that the waffles are quite crispy and everything with salted caramel that I love so much would certainly add points to it.  The cafe is conveniently located in the neighbourhood of Toa Payoh, and I would surely return for their brunch menu.

Nunsongyee Korean Dessert Cafe

Image
Happy Midweek everybody! I finally got to try the highly raved Bingsu at Nunsongyee Korean Dessert Cafe who have the softest shaved ice. Located directly opposite Bugis Junction, it is really convenient for those who want to get their Bingsu fix after shopping at Bugis. Guess what? It's a good place for those who might crave for Bingsu in the middle of the night.  The entire shop house of 3 storeys is owned by Nunsongyee, giving me the feeling of a bingsu shop in Myeongdong, Korea. Sorry for the shadow of my silhouette, most of the pricing for the bingsus are priced around $15.90. We sat at the second storey since it is self service and we had to collect our orders at the first floor when the buzzer ring. Even though it is night time, the store is still quite populated and we have to wait around 10 minutes before our order is ready.   Finally! Our mixed berries bingsu, the snow ice melted as soon as I put into my mouth, its really like tasting snow, flav...

Halloween Horror Nights 5- Universal Studios Singapore

Woke up late today due to the fatigue from last night HHN5 saga at Universal Studios, the scareactors did not scare me as much as THE QUEUE for THE MRT and we took 2 hours to escape  The ridiculously long queue which took us inside waterworks theatre and outside then inside again -.- Good work USS for the long snaking queue and kudos to us for surviving 2 hours believing that it will soon be our turn, so much for paying $50 for #cheapthrills to queue and get scared by humans Fast track to 5 hours before we were stuck in this situation Geared up in our N95 breathable masks that we bought specially for the haze that never seem to go away Since it is still early at the time we reached harbourfront, we decided to walk around Vivo City and have dinner first. Deciding on where to eat is always a chore for us, we walked from level 2 to level 1 to basement before going back to level 2 to Paik's Bibimbap to eat the Bibimbap that I wanted to try This may no...
